April 25th - April 30th

What an eventful week. A week filled with nothing but fun. Danica got bangs trimmed for the first time. How adorable she is.

She got to go to Chuckee Cheese. She enjoyed her time sitting right beside Chuckee Cheese. She enjoyed being part of the game. She climbs on everything. She sat next to Cristian and did not enjoy the ride she was on.

Then came all the concern on swine flu . Mike and I decided to take extra measures, being sure that Danica is not exposed to the contaminated...so, we decided the best thing for her is to lock her up

just kidding, there is no way in hell we would do such a thing. She was free to roam the apartment grounds, play in the dirt and run around for a bit. Afterwards, it was back to her cell.again, i'm only joking. Though, she expressed signs of cabin fever, she was indeed fine. She was my little helper. Helping her mom put away the dishes.and helping me with the clothes. She loves to help out.
The wonderful blessing, a child to care and love is everything AMAZING. The journey as a parent is only the beginning to many BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS TO CHERISH FOREVER.

Time out!

(my teary eyed baby)

Oh my, Time out! I'm still in disbelief that my 18month old, who is seemingly Angelic, has to be placed on time out and how she understands the concept of it, amazes me. Sure, little ones are to show defiance, yet to think that somebody so young in age needs this kind of discipline surprises me. Danica sure has been my little monkey on time out. What did my angelic child do to deserve such punishment? at breakfast she sat in her high chair, her food and water at reach. She had been playing with her food and started to spill, a little amount of water on the floor. I had told her not to do that and again, she spilled more water on the floor. It seemed like a game to her. Then, the cup of water was on the floor. Immediately I sent her to time out. While she cried and did her time, I quietly ate the rest of my food. I could hear the whimpering cry. After three long horrible minutes it was time for her to say sorry...she walked towards me, teary eyed little one, with her arm reaching out for momma. I picked her up and she nestled on my shoulder whimpering, I comforted her.
I ask myself, does she really need this kind of discipline at such a young age? To answer my own question, of course she needs time out, I don't want her thinking she can get away with things. Goodness there are other kids out there that DO take have control over their parents...young little kids who have control over their parents and do they get away with a lot of crap. I won't tolerate that if my child becomes one of them. It's best to instill time out for all the right reasons and hopefully my Angelic little girl will be just that, Angelic...and here she stands on time out.

"Momma"

This morning when I woke, I was hoping not to wake the precious little Danica who slept right beside me. As I got ready for work, I felt these hands wrap around my thigh, it was Danica Rei, and she looked up at me and said "Momma". I picked her up and embraced her while she rested her head on my shoulder. I'm quickly reminded of what I live for. "Momma" that sweet word, said clearly...It melted my heart. The perfect way to start my day.

Today at work wasn't a bad day. It was pretty steady at Continental Airlines. During down time, Soduku made it easier for time to pass.

I arrived home around 615pm and walked into the house to see my two kids, my husband(he's the oldest kid) and my Danica Rei. Sitting in her high chair, she wanted to escape so that she can greet me. She ran and gave her momma a big hug and juicy kiss. Once again, I'm reminded of what I live for. We played til daddy got dinner ready. We chilled on the floor and played with her dolls. She has now finally became a "doll" lover, calling them her babies. Yes, she can say "baby". Simone Raina, her cabbage patch doll, and Abby her cry baby, Abby really does cry, and Lil Squirt all joined Danica in her futon. She actually tucked all of them in, and laid with them. Momma, that's me, took pictures of Rei and all her babies.

Dinner time. Those who have seen my girl eat knows she can eat like a champ...More rice, please. She loves to eat rice.
After dinner I gave her a bath and we watched and danced to Barney. We just love that purple dinosaur. She turned in around 930pm. Now I'm able to do a few things around the house.
She lays right next to me and I'm reminded of what I live for....I Live for her, Danica Rei Domingo. She is my love bug, my munchkin, my turkey butt, most of all my Love and my Life.

On her ponytails...

I love to try to pick her hair up into ponytails but the little booger throws a fit. When it's Auntie Shawna, everything's cool. Hair tied and it's in pigtails all day long..., by the time she gets home it all comes off.
Goodness, now see what she looks like after...continue on down.

Easter

The meaning of Easter...

Today, the meaning of Easter, for million of Christians, is that of honoring and recognizing Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead, and His glorious promises of eternal life for all who believe in Him.

*Today I celebrate Easter here at work with co-workers, some full of shit, others very nice and respectable. I'd rather be at home snuggling with my love bug.
The other day we attended an Easter bash at aunty Josie's. She always knows how to throw a party. Especially, when it's for the kids. Well Danica got to participate this year in the Egg hunt. YAY! she did so well.Never in my life did I think I'd enjoy cheering on a child as she hunted for eggs. Motherhood as changed me for the better.HA!

Two sizes small

I was at work most of the day. I received a call from my husband, asking what size our daughter wore, I just laughed. He wanted to take her swimming and of course Danica needed a swimsuit. Oh my, I was worried, when dresses her, he has no sense of fashion or style when it comes to Danica.
Home from work, I entered the house to daddy and Danica rolling around on the floor. He did good with the swimsuit. I praised him.

Then, looking at my daughter trying to put her shoes on, daddy bought new shoes, more kuddos...until I notice the shoes are two sizes small. Gotta hand it to daddy, he tried.
